Huthmaker Violins is the oldest violin shop in the South. We are family-owned and operated and specialize in all things violin, viola, 'cello and string bass. The Huthmaker Family, (Roland, Dixie and Anna), spent their lives teaching orchestra, playing professionally, and restoring instruments and bows. The three Huthmakers have six music degrees among them, as well as a myriad of luthier training certifications. At Huthmaker Violins we do repair and restoration, sales, rentals and appraisals. We have a full staff of experienced luthiers and our greatest passion is serving musicians and giving back to the musical community that we have spent our lives in.
Our showroom will be open for this very special exhibition for two weeks beginning Friday, April 1st.,
and continuing through Saturday, April 16th.
Customers are welcome to browse, play and take instruments for in-home trial during this time.
We are very pleased to be able to promote the increased recognition of women in the field of violin and bow-making through this exhibition of talented makers from all over the world. Brobst Violin Shop is a family-run business that began serving the Washington D.C. area in 1966. Over the past 5+ decades our clientele has grown from a local to international community of students, professional musicians and collectors. We are known for our fine craftsmanship, integrity, friendly service, extensive selection of newly-made and antique instruments, and complete selection of accessories. Please contact us by phone or email and visit our website at: www.brobstviolinshop.com. We look forward to serving you!
